Project Case — Shopping Mall ANPR/LPR Parking System

A shopping mall in Melaka replaced paper parking tickets with ANPR boom barriers on four lanes, removing the ticket-handling bottleneck and lifting peak entry throughput from about 300 to 690 vehicles per hour.

Challenge
Paper tickets meant every driver stopped twice — once to take a ticket and again to pay — and lost tickets were the single largest source of disputes at the service counter. The mall also could not measure how long visitors actually stayed.
Solution
Four lanes were fitted with BRX-ANPR-4S cameras and matched BRX-6000 boom barriers, so registered users open on plate read and casual visitors are charged automatically from their plate record, payable by card or QR at a kiosk or on exit. Seasonal promotions run from a white-list without changing hardware.
Result
Peak entry throughput rose from about 300 to 690 vehicles per hour, lost-ticket disputes stopped entirely, and the mall can now report average dwell time and peak occupancy per zone from its own plate data.
