A 380-bay community car park in Petaling Jaya moved from season-parking stickers to automatic RFID boom barriers, recovering control of an estimated 46 bays that were being occupied by non-residents.

Challenge
Season stickers could not be verified at the lane, so non-resident vehicles used the bays free of charge and genuine season-parking holders frequently found the site full. Manual enforcement rounds were costing the management committee about 30 staff-hours per month.
Solution
We fitted one entry and one exit BRX-6000 barrier with BRX-RFID-UHF300 readers mounted at 2.2 metres, reading windscreen tags at up to 6 metres so vehicles keep moving without stopping. Season holders are enrolled in the controller; casual visitors take a QR ticket that is charged by duration on exit.
Result
The average vehicle now clears the lane in 3 seconds without stopping, roughly 46 previously lost bays were returned to paying use, and enforcement rounds were withdrawn entirely, saving the committee about 30 staff-hours each month.
